What is OpenMod?
OpenMod will bring essential software building blocks to develop multiscale models for the Virtual Physiological Human.
In particular, OpenMod will provide open standards for encoding, enriching, linking and sharing computational models, in a transparent and powerful way.
It is a unique partnership of global leading figures in the field of computational modelling in biology. Bringing together modellers in systems biology, physiology and neurosciences, OpenMod will allow the development of well-accepted, realistic quantitative models, to understand physiology, ageing and diseases, and to open new avenues of treatments.
OpenMod is subject of an application for a FP7 ICT Integrated Project submitted to the Objective ICT-2011.5.2 Virtual Physiological Human.
